Mya ~scraplift challenge~

I did this layout last night for the Handmade Love challenge blog. This week our challenge was a scraplift of one of Shannon's pages. I also used my March kit from SBKC which included these super cute papers from Cosmo Cricket Earth Love. Had some trouble with the title and ended up just painting it brown. I'm also having qualms over the pink flower...:S I had this perfect picture in my head and now I'm not 100% happy with the layout. Anyways...enjoy! And you can still submit a layout for the challenge until tomorrow night. (Every submission in March gets a chance at a $20 gift certificate at Two Peas)

  1. Awww, you're not happy with it? I think it's really pretty. Every time I try to use those tickets, it looks dorky. Yours look like they belong!

  2. I really like it! And the fower is so cute! Sometimes we are too critical of our own work :)

  3. i have days like that too, when the picture in my head doesn't match up with what's in front of me. personally, i love what you did! but i think when it comes to scrapbooking, you have to please yourself first. so maybe if you identify what issue you're having with it, you'll be able to fix it :)

just focusing on the flower (only bc i think you mentioned that on 2Ps) is the color off for you? is the scale not right? do you feel like it doesn't balance? would a butterfly work better? just a couple questions to help you along in case it really starts to bug ya!

i'm working on a blog post of this topic to be posted this week. so sorry that i was wordy friend! hehe!

  5. I love all of the stitching here. I think your layout is beautiful, but I know what you mean about a layout not feeling quite right. Sometimes if I put the page away and then look at it again a little bit later for a final judgement!

  6. I love it, Christy! The patterned paper goes together so nicely, and I really like the stitching in the top corner! :) Thanks for participating this week!
