Today, I want to share someone who is doing something very cool but first it's 2Peas Tuesday so I have a layout to share! Polka Dot Pixels new kit called Grown in out at the 2Peas store today. It's just in time for some spring gardening and outdoor layouts. My layout is about the struggles that I faced my first year of gardening at our new house. I tell you what, clay is not the easiest soil to garden in!

Now, the exciting news that I came to share with you! Allow me to introduce my friend Lacey and her blog! She's always been an amazing paper scrapper and her room in her house is just heaven for a paper scrapper! Recently she's been taking some classes at Jessica Sprague and is now diving into creating her own digital kits as well! Can you say talented?! Sunny Days are coming my way...

...I hope! Seriously, it has been soooo grey and dreary here. Yesterday the sun was out but it was still so cold. Come on mother nature, May is in a week and a half and it still doesn't feel like Spring! I did however get to escape to a summer state of mind this week with Karen Funk's new Sunny Days kit. The colors are so bright and cheery and there is some awesome word art in this kit! Here's a preview of the kit and my page that I created with it!

2Peas Tuesday and a Little Bunny Told Me...

Hi everyone! Here I am on a Tuesday morning...a gray, wet and dreary morning. But I have some great new kits to share with you! Since I'm now creating for Emily of Polka Dot Pixels, I'll be sharing something new with you every Tuesday and this week she has a great kit called Penmanship!

And here is my layout with the kit! I stayed really simple with this one and just used a tag, a few buttons and some stitching. I also used a Pioneer Woman photo effect. I also used a prompt from Ali  Edwards last week and instead of journaling about what is happening in the photo, I wrote about the subject and what she means to us. 

Iara of Baers Garten Designs also has a new kit out today! It's called A Little Bunny Told Me and it's super cute with its pale spring colors and pretty flowers. It's perfect for spring or Easter pictures. Iara also has a new facebook page and will be giving away a $10 gift card! 

Chad and I had our last dating anniversary last week on the 13th. We have been together for 3 years and in just 2 months and a week or so we'll be married and start our anniversary counting all over again! I decided to use the pretty pinks of this kit to make a page for our anniversary using one of our engagement pictures.

AMAZING NEWS!!!

I've been holding my tongue for about 2 weeks now and I'm so excited to finally be able to spill the beans! You might have noticed that I've been doing some layouts with a new designer...well, that's because I'm now a member of the Polka Dot Pixels Creative Team!!! Emily of Polka Dot Pixels designs wonderful kits and right now she has quite a few out that are full of vintage goodness!

I also got another wonderful email this morning just before lunch. I was so nervous to open it because it said RE: CT Call...so I deleted all the other emails that were junk first, then I read another email and then I finally opened it (while crossing my fingers)!! And, I'll now be joining Karen Funk's Creative Team as well!!! I love hanging out over at Design House Digital and the designers there are amazing. Karen's kits are always so bright and colorful and I'm so excited to get to create for her! 

That is my wonderful news for this week and I bet you can guess what I'll be doing this weekend...creating some new pages with a whole bunch of wonderful digi kits!

I Love Reading!

I absolutely love to read! I always have. In high school, my best friend and I would always read tons of books and then trade and read whatever the other person read! I wish I had a list of all the books I've read in my lifetime but I don't so I'm going to start keeping track.
Here is a layout documenting the books I've read in 2010/2011 so far! I used the August kit and the Storyteller kit by Baers Garten Designs.

Spring has Sprung!

Hello! Is it Spring where you are? It is 60 degrees here right now and that is wonderful because last week at this time we had 5 inches of snow! I can hardly believe it.
