Make It Yourself Monday

Hi fellow bloggers and readers!!!

I'm starting something new here on my blog. You've seen my scrapbook pages, so you know I like to get crafty but what you don't know is that I love being crafty with so many other things as well! So, every Monday I'm going to share something that you/I can make ourselves! It might be decor related, a craft or even a recipe here and there!
With the fall season upon us, I've started pulling out my harvest and fall decor and started searching for great halloween ideas! Here is the project that I tackled this weekend and the first project I'm sharing for Make It Yourself Monday!
For this fall wreath, I used a grapevine wreath form and stuck in pieces of fall leaves and floral stems. Chad's mom gave me some indian corn that I wired together before I made the hook to hang it from. I want to add in some berry stems and some pine cones maybe. With the grapevine wreath I can pull out the stems and change them with the season and change the whole look of the wreath. I also bought a smaller wreath and put the leftover stems in it for the inside of the entryway.
This wreath is hanging over something very cool but I can't show it to you yet! You'll have to come back next Monday to find out what it is! In the mean time here is another picture of some fall decor in my kitchen. I want to get a console table to put underneath the frame for our keys, phones, mail and stuff but for right now I love that frame!
Thanks for stopping by and come back next Monday to see more projects!

my hair

I just put together this layout tonight showing all the different stages my hair has seen since the beginning of high school to now! It's pretty crazy to see how it's changed. Which was the challenge at the 2Peas blog...to make a layout documenting a comparison. TFL!

Weekend Wedding Projects

It's been cold and wet out so far this weekend so today I've been inside working on wedding stuff. I know, I still have 9 months left but I would love to get it all done and then just relax, enjoy the holiday this winter and scrap my little heart out. So here's what I've been working on...
 My living room today.
Boutonnieres that are finished so far. I've just been pulling the leaves off of the rose stems and hot gluing them behind the rose. Then I've been wrapping in these bead stems. I love how they're turning out. Their also super easy to make!
These are for the ushers. My baby brother(13) is allergic to latex so I had to get the silk flowers for these instead of the real touch flowers.
These are for our dads, his grandpa and our 2 ring bearers.
And this is my bouquet!!! I just mixed the orchids and the ivory roses together with some jewel stems and wrapped the bouquet in ivory satin ribbon. I might add a little bling to the wrap later.

Happiness is a day at the Beach

This layout is for a scraplift challenge at Scrapbook Challenges. I use the Imaginisce Splash Dance line and some pictures of Mya digging in the sand. It was her first weekend at the lake and she loved it! Thanks for looking!
Here's another layout I completed today. These are pictures from my trip to California after high school graduation. My aunt and uncle who live near LA always pay for one ticket and then you can bring a friend. This was one afternoon when we drove down to Laguna beach for lunch after we'd been swimming.

College Graduation

Here is a layout documenting the few pictures we have of our college graduation. Chad, his brother, his sister and I all graduated on the same day. Three of us from UNK. It was a quick little party because my brother graduated high school the next day. We just got an alumni invite in the mail that was perfect for adding our mascot and that little UNK Alumni word. This layout was inspired by the Creative Scrappers Sketch #120. The left side follows the sketch pretty good and then I added the right side so I could use more pictures. Thanks for looking!

Martina McBride Concert

I'm busy working on my stash of old pictures and these are the ones I decided to work with last night. I made this page for Sketch #119 at Creative Scrappers. An old roommate and I went to Martina McBride for a girls weekend and then decided to go to a casino afterwards. It was a lot of fun, even though we lost 20 bucks.
It's cloudy out so the picture didn't turn out so good. I used Cosmo Cricket Early Bird and some Garden Variety, American Crafts Thickers, Tiny Type, and Studio Calico Rub-ons. TFL!

Bridesmaids Dresses

We went shopping for bridesmaids dresses today. Decided on 2 styles from Alfred Angelo. Both will be Petunia(just a shade darker than coral, which looked to pinky pink to me) and will have a Tangelo sash tied on the side. You can check out all the wedding details so far on my wedding website on the right sidebar! TFL!

You Picked....I Kind of Listened!

Haha, ok I really did listen to you. At least some of you...I could only pick one! I ordered my wedding shoes from CSN stores online and got them on my doorstep on Friday! I wore them around while I made supper and scrapbooked on Friday night just to see how comfy they were. I'm in love! I think I will be able to make it the whole day and night of our wedding in these babies!
Are you ready to see which ones I picked?!?!

Drumroll please!

Labor Day Scrapbooking

Just hanging out today and scrapping some old pictures. The allergies are keeping me indoors but that's okay!
Here is my latest layout! I have been wanting to do a page about our engagement for well, 2 or so months ago, since we got engaged! Finally here is that page. I used up some of my dear lizzy papers and fabric paper for the cloud and the banner. I love this page!
Here is a layout I did for sketch #216 at Scrapbook Challenges. It's the first vehicle that I ever bought myself! Ah, my first big girl car! TFL!

Tuesday Reveal!

Happy Labor Day! Just wanted to give you a heads up that tomorrow I'll be revealing the wedding shoes that I picked! Come back to see which ones I got!

Joy!!!

I can't believe I have never seen this before! I just found it in an old blog post from Ali Edwards and she labels it so well..."Joyously lived" This is obvious joy and true joy without anything standing in its way. My fiance is a dancer and a singer...no, not professionally. He just breaks out into silly dance moves and belts it out with the radio whenever he feels like it. It's free and fun and I love it! I would love to do something like this at our wedding or reception to truly show that side of our relationship.

Hope this brings a smile to your face today!!! (*it might have made me cry a little too!*)

September Challenge

If you're a scrapper or card maker and have never checked out 2Peas in a Bucket, this is the month to head over there (there is a link in my sidebar).

There is a group of "young" scrappers that I love chatting with everyday. We are somewhat young in age (most of us 20s) but we think age is a matter of the mind. If you feel young come join us! (we're on the message boards) This month I am offering up a RAK for a random winner who completes one, all or any of the challenges that I have issued here!

This is the page that I made for one of the challenges. Enjoy and go create something!
