Giveaway!!!

I love you guys, my followers!!! Many of you may be new and some of you may have been here since I began blogging. This Country Love used to be Full of Laughter and Happily Ever After but that was a mouth full. I recently changed the name to better reflect my life and my passions. We live in the country and my blog reflects all the things that I love and love to do here in our little part of the world. Hence, This Country Love. I also used to be a paper scrapper and that topic took up many of my early posts. Over time, I've been working on DIY projects more and have switched to digital scrapbooking. We've added a puppy to our family, gotten married and went on an amazing honeymoon. Now, I like to share just a little bit of everything here on my blog!
I recently noticed that I had passed 10,000 views of my blog!
I knew that I wanted to give something back to you guys for following along with me and encouraging me at times like when I was opening my Etsy shop and switching to digital scrapping.

Decorator Pages

Well, it's my first week as a decorator at DHD and today is the first release day that I've been able to play with all the goodies before they come out! There are tons of great kits and templates being released today and they're all 30% off. For this layout I used Robyn Meierotto's new Sweet Autumn. My jounaling is from the song "Back Road" by Rodney Atkins and goes perfectly with these pictures of Chad and I driving on our country roads.

Here's another layout from earlier this week. This layout used Robyn's Funky Fall kit.

Halloween Crafts

I haven't posted any crafts or DIY projects projects lately. I've been busy enjoying life, scrapbooking more and working on less glamorous projects like seeding new grass and getting the dog house ready for cold weather. I really haven't done anything extra for Halloween this year but I did put up the decorations that I made last year. ~Exciting News!~

Who would have thought that waking up 15 minutes before my alarm clock goes off (5:45) would be a good thing?! I stumbled out of the warm blankets into the cold and turned on my computer...because the news just isn't that interesting that early in the morning. Guess what was waiting for me in my email?! ....this!!!

~4Play 4 Monday~

It's time for some 4Play!!! (probably not the kind you're thinking of though!) Design House Digital has a Monday feature called 4Play where they have 4 kits that they feature and their design team makes layouts using only those 4 kits. One kit is free and the other 3 are only $1! Here's a preview of the kits that are featured this week. 

I've thought that this feature was really cool since they started it but I finally decided to play along this week! I also decided to use the October Scraplift Challenge as a jumping off point for this layout.

New Options!

Hi everybody! I've had quite a few requests for some other options on how to wear the flowers that I sell in my Etsy shop. I knew that I eventually wanted to add these options and since so many of you asked for it, I knew now was the time to make them available. You can now order your flowers with an elastic headband, a regular headband, a clip (great for your hair or on a scarf or shirt) and a pin (also great on scarves or clothes)! 

There's no change in price, just pick which option you want at checkout! I hope that this makes it much easier for many of you to wear your flowers in many different and fun ways. I also just wanted to remind you quick that October 19th is the last day to order any of the Halloween flowers! I'll be putting up some fall flowers this week and start on Christmas flowers soon!

New Headbands

Geez, it's been a while since I posted! We had a great weekend in Wisconsin and lots of fun before the game but since we lost, the game itself wasn't that big of a thrill...bummer! Anyways, after that long road trip I've been busy here at home. I did a big clean on Monday night and last night I had some friends over for a little Scentsy party. Chad is out in the field so I will be filling my evenings with projects again and hopefully I'll have something to post soon. In the mean time...
I have two new Halloween headbands in the shop! Don't worry, there's plenty of time to still get them in time for Halloween. I'll stop taking orders for Halloween on the 19th so that I can make them and get them shipped. Just click on the pictures to go to the store!

A week or so ago, I had a special request from a friend who needed some headbands to match her little girls' outfits for a wedding. These are the cute shirts that they wore. 

And, this is the headband that I came up with and I made 2 for her girls. They turned out really cute and the littlest, who is 8 months old, wore hers to our house last night for the party. I added some cute buttons to the rolled flower headband to bring in some color and make it fun! These are customizable so just message me if you want buttons added to your rolled flower headband and what colors.
