2Peas Tuesday

Hi everyone! It's Tuesday but man do I wish it was Friday already! Hanging out with my new sister-in-law and her fiance was a blast this past weekend but I'm ready for a relaxing weekend at home. Plus, my parents, brothers and grandma will be coming to our house on Saturday to hang out. While I'm busy waiting for the weekend however, I'm also busy creating some layouts and working on my DIY projects. Today I've got a new layout using the new When Skies Are Grey kit from Polka Dot Pixels @ 2Peas in a Bucket. This kit is super bright and cute and perfect for those cloudy day which is what we have today. My layout was all about the little anti-Valentine's day party that some girls and I had during college. We all worry silly t-shirts and went bowling, girls only! Hope you like it and go check out all the new stuff at 2Peas today!

Treats & Tubing for 2Peas Tuesday

Well, that's a lot of t-t-t...T's! But I've got a few new digi pages to share with you today! Emily over at Polka Dot Pixels has been designing up a storm and her new digi supplies are great! Especially when you're me and love to play with "ink splatters". Her first release for today is her ink splatters that are inspired by that paint spinny game that you might have had when you were a kid... My page has some more tubing pictures from the first summer I went to the lake with Chad.

Emily's other kit is called A Vintage Affair and is actually a collab with Hazel Olive Designs. This was a really cute kit to work with, especially with all that pink! I decided to document one of Chad's favorite treats, the Scotcheroo. If you haven't ever had this let me know and I'll get you the recipe...it's delicious!

Bring On the Sun!

Summer is definitely here! It's been in the 90s here with heat indexes into the 100s! I was being so careful before the wedding not to burn or get weird tan lines so that my skin wouldn't look funny with my dress. Well, the 4th of July (2 days after the wedding) provided me with a great opportunity to get out there in the sun finally and get a tan (burn). Here's some family pictures we took out at the lake of everyone hanging out on the shore and playing some horseshoes.

My First Two Peas Order!!!

 

My very first order from Two Peas came in the mail today!!! Sooo excited! It's all embellishment stuff and I need to build up this part of my stash. I have tons of paper but not so much fun stuff like this. I ended up buying most of this stuff for my house remodel scrapbook so it's all orange, blue, green, white, and yellow. Thought I would share!!! Oh...and Two Peas is awesome! Go check them out if you haven't yet! (Click on the little Two Peas box on the right side)

I made this page for the Patterned Paper class on Two Peas. The challenge was to use strips of patterned paper in a way that you never have before. I also used nothing but scraps for this page and I'd never made a shape out of strips of paper so I created this heart shape. I also loved the handmade flower idea from another girl's blog and she had found the idea at Studio Calico. Thanks for looking!
