Jessy (a mini album)
This weekend was crazy windy and hot! So, I spent a lot of time inside working on this book for my brother. 2 summers ago, he had a pet raccoon that he saved from our lab. She was a very cool pet and I wanted him to have a book of all her pictures to remember her and tell her story. I'm not sure this actually qualifies for a mini album but it's smaller than my normal 12x12 pages so to me it does. I cut up thin cardboard into 8x8 pages with a few smaller pieces mixed in. Then I just cut and glue and stuck on some embellishments and pictures. It was very fun to work with because all the pictures go together and I didn't have to worry about designing a whole page because the entire book worked together. Here are the pages and the supplies I used are listed at the bottom.

Week in the Life - Finished Project!
I finally finished my Week in the Life project this week! I ended up make collages on my computer of the 8.5x11 pages for each day. Then I had those printed off and just added strips of paper and a few embellishments. I hand wrote notes on baseball card sized cardstock and inked the edges and decorated the extra cards. I'm ready to put it away for a while and just forget about it (in a good way). Of course, I'm looking forward to seeing how I reflect upon it next year at this time. So without further ado, for your viewing pleasure...here is my 2010 Week in the Life.
This is my favorite page because of the big flower picture! Very proud of this picture!
I think I missed taking pictures of a couple pages at the end but you get the idea! Thanks for looking everybody! If you've done Week in the Life, I would love to have you share so I can check it out!

Kit Club Chatter
Two posts in one day for me! When I started this blog, one of the first things that I pondered was kit clubs. I searched high and low and landed on Scrapbook Kit Club. However, sad news lately as they have closed with May being their last month. I'm off on the search once again and ran across a post on 2Peas about a kit giveaway! The website is Freehand Scraps and they're giving away a May kit. I like their kits and this will definitely be on my list of considerations so take skip (because of the nice sunny weather...and because you can) over there and check it out!
I'm also inclined to tell you that Amazon is having a deal today on PSE8!!! You can get it for $54.99 and then get a $20 rebate form! I've been pondering digi-scrapping for a little while and just couldn't pass up this deal! I'm going to play with some free downloads and see how I like it...couldn't ever get rid of my paper but this could be fun too!
Handy & Crafty DIY Me!
Hi! I've been missing for a little bit now but I've also been busy. You've seen the little creations I made during NSD weekend and since then I've been busy making cards of all things! I made 2 for mother's day, a get well card last night and need to do some graduation cards tonight. I'm still working on getting my week in the life album put together but thought I could share a peek at my main page.
I've also been busy cutting and staining woodwork for our porch. I'd really love to get it finished and then put some nice shades up and get furniture in there. It would be a great place to read a book and relax this summer. I'm planning on getting really ambitious and making this...
Ana over at Knock-Off Wood is amazing when it comes to building your own furniture!!! My to-do list goes on and on and hopefully I will get a lot of new furniture this way...and it's way more affordable than buying it! I have actually already made one piece from her collection of plans...remember that layout for my bf's little sister? I made this frame and stained it last night and I can't wait to give it to her tonight when we get together for Grey's Anatomy!

Mother's Day Cards
My mom loves scrapbooking and card making stuff but she will never do it herself. She says that she would be to perfectionist about it and it would never look right. So, for Mother's Day I decided to make her a set of Thank You cards with some scraps left over from the layout I made today. This is also for the card set & use your scrap challenges at 2Peas.
Just Like Sisters
I'm still scrapping for NSD! Here is the next page I made this weekend.
This page has been floating around in my head for a while now. Brenda (Chad's sister) and I are both the only girls in our families so we always say that we are like sisters. She loved this paper and when I saw a layout in the 2Peas gallery using it, I knew it was perfect for this idea. I scrap lifted the patterned paper layout and then just added my own thing from there. I used stitching around the flowered paper and then added some dimension with felt, buttons, flowers, a fan folded piece of paper, some twine and the green ball ribbon. My plan is to frame it and send it with her when she moves for her internship this summer. Thanks for looking! What have you been up to this NSD weekend?

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!
I am so glad that today is NSD because I was really feeling the need to be creative! There are tons of websites, blogs and design teams having crops and hops and challenges for NSD and I'm trying to participate in a little bit here and there. The challenges are really prompting me to put into action some ideas that I've had for a while and not to mention they are helping me get through my stash of pictures! I didn't get to come home and do any scrapbooking until 5 because I had to work but I have one layout started and one finished. Here is my finished layout "Make a Splash". I used some papers that I got from Imaginisce's Splash Dance collection.
